If I purchase a keyboard, will I be able to use it to enter account numbers while using automated services?

Hi. This is also an issue for me using the iPhone 5.

It depends on the keyboard. I have the Amazon Basics bluetooth keyboard I use with my iPhone and I cannot enter account numbers using it. I can, however, use the numbers row to enter phone numbers instead of the iPhone's keypad and then make calls that way. I'm not sure why it doesn't work when using automated services.

I suspected this would be a problem when I started using the iPhone. I'm not sure what keyboards would work. So far, the advice I'm getting is to use a headset and turn voice over up as loud as it can go. Some have suggested changing from standard to touch typeing.

touch typing is a mode that will allow yu to move around the keyboard on the screen and lift to insert a letter or number.
